Job summary
Blattner Company is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer for utility‑scale gas power generation projects. You will lead electrical engineering delivery from estimating to construction closeout, shaping standards, mentoring staff, and ensuring safe, reliable designs that meet industry codes and client requirements.
Work with Owners, EORs, and partners to optimize interconnections, equipment layouts, and technical submittals while guiding constructability and value engineering initiatives across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET‑accredited college.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or able to obtain within one year of hire.
- Seven or more years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical engineering execution of utility‑scale gas power generation projects from estimating through construction support and closeout.
- Develop preliminary electrical designs for proposals, review one‑line diagrams, protection schemes, grounding, and substation designs.
- Coordinate with Owners, EOR, Project Engineering, Estimating, SCP, Construction, and vendors to ensure quality and compliance.
- Mentor Engineers and CAD Designers and drive standards, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
