Job summary

Blattner seeks a Lead Engineer – Instrumentation & Controls to drive design for gas plant I&C and BOP systems. You will mentor juniors, review commissioning docs, and work with OEMs, owners, and vendors to ensure safe, reliable, compliant designs. Expect travel to client offices and project sites as needed.

The role combines technical leadership with coordination across internal teams, utilities, and third-party engineers to deliver high-quality power generation projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in instrumentation and controls for industrial projects.
• 5+ years experience with instrumentation/controls/communications specification, procurement, install, and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; PE license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and controls design for gas generation plant and BOP systems.
• Collaborate with OEMs, owners, utilities, and vendors to deliver safe, reliable designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and develop internal instrumentation and controls standards.
• Review design basis, commissioning processes, and documentation for projects.
