Job summary

Blattner in Avon, MN, seeks a Manager Engineering – Instrumentation and Controls to lead the I&C program for its gas generation segment, incl. reciprocating engines and gas turbines.

You will coordinate with Blattner units, suppliers, and clients to define standards and deliver designs from proposal through construction. The role demands strong technical knowledge, program management, and leadership, with travel to client sites for relationships and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with reciprocating engine and gas turbine systems.
• Strong project management and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Familiarity with power generation standards and safety.
• Hands-on experience with design review and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the instrumentation and controls program for gas generation projects from design through construction.
• Coordinate with suppliers, owners, and Blattner units to establish design standards.
• Develop protection and controls concepts for power block and BOP.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and performance testing activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
