Job summary

Blattner Company seeks a Lead Engineer for Instrumentation & Controls in our Gas Power Generation Team. You will develop and review I&C designs for gas engines and turbines, coordinate with OEMs, Owners, and vendors, and mentor junior engineers to deliver safe and reliable plant controls and BOP systems.

You will verify design basis, commissioning documents, and DCS interfaces while supporting startup, synchronization, and performance testing. Travel applies as projects require.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience in instrumentation and controls design for industrial projects, with strong preference for power generation.
• 5+ years experience with instrumentation/controls/communications specification, procurement, install, and commissioning.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, ABET-accredited; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review instrumentation and controls designs for gas power generation blocks and BOP equipment.
• Review design basis, loop diagrams, and control narratives; ensure interfaces with OEMs and Owners.
• Support commissioning, testing, and startup activities across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal engineering standards.
