Blattner Company seeks a Lead Mechanical Engineer – Gas Power Generation to steer mechanical engineering execution on utility-scale projects from proposal through construction and commissioning. You will provide technical leadership, establish standards, and mentor engineers to ensure safe, reliable designs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within one year.
• 7+ years of progressive mechanical engineering experience in utility-scale power or related industries.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering execution from proposal development through construction and commissioning.
• Develop preliminary designs optimizing constructability, reliability, safety and cost.
• Review layouts, P&IDs, equipment specs, and vendor packages for quality and compliance.
• Coordinate with Owners, Engineers of Record, Project Engineering, Estimating, Supply Chain, Construction, and manufacturers.
• Mentor engineers and drive engineering standards and continuous improvement.
