Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design, size valves, specify instrumentation, and develop P&IDs for state-of-the-art facilities. You’ll manage schedules and ensure technical quality while coordinating with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, support startup on-site, and mentor junior professionals, focusing on process control, instrumentation, and automation across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering.
• 6+ years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Experience with mission-critical control systems: BMS, SCADA, DCS.

Responsibilities

• Manage schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks.
• Provide on-site assistance during startup and coordinate with staff and discipline lead.
• Design and optimize control systems; develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation.
• Document and model design information; ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams and mentor junior professionals.
