Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design and optimize control systems for industrial and commercial facilities across the United States. You will develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information while ensuring codes and standards compliance.

Join a multi-disciplinary team, mentor junior professionals, and lead project aspects including schedules, budgets, and startup support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related engineering or technical field.
• At least 6 years of experience working with Instrumentation and Control.
• Demonstrated experience in mission critical control systems, including BMS, SCADA, and DCS.

Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and document design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and industry standards.
• Coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead; provide on-site assistance during startup.
• Design and optimize control systems for processes, working with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete solutions for new facilities.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams, mentor junior professionals, and manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
• Ensure high technical quality and alignment with client expectations across projects.
