Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Des Moines, IA seeks an instructional designer to develop dynamic eLearning, ILT, blended, or performance-support training solutions that boost employee productivity.

You will collaborate with subject matter experts and business owners to craft sound objectives, content, and evaluation strategies, while ensuring alignment with Ryder's goals and competencies. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in learning design and proficiency with Articulate 360.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Business, education, instructional design technology or related area; minimum 8 years of equivalent work experience in designing and developing e-learning and related training materials.
• Master's degree preferred in related field.
• Five (5) years or more Education or business environment required.
• Three (3) years or more designing, developing, and implementing learning solutions with Articulate 360 Suite.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies advanced required.
• Knowledge of Storyline and other development tools advanced required.
• Knowledge of working with clients and SMEs to develop training strategies and solutions advanced required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel intermediate required.

Responsibilities

• Creates learning content and testing to support major training and assessment initiatives.
• Consults with subject matter experts and business owners to develop objectives, content, and evaluation strategies.
• Designs and develops learning project proposals.
• Ensures instructional design solutions match objectives and outcomes; communicates innovative ideas.
• Stays current on trends in learning methods and best practices in adult learning.
