Job summary

Lumen, a trusted network provider, seeks an experienced desk-based sales professional in Illinois to grow brand awareness and acquire new logos by selling the Lumen portfolio of products and solutions.

This role focuses on prospecting, account management, and delivering strong value propositions through consultative and transactional selling, with targets, CRM usage, and mentoring teammates as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of sales experience
• Experience selling telecom/telecom solutions
• Advanced sales experience in desk-based or inside/outside roles
• History developing new accounts and opening new territories (a plus)
• Ability to conduct efficient sales calls and web-conferences
• Proficiency in Salesforce/CRM and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Desk-based prospecting, selling and account management into assigned customers; meet monthly quotas
• Deliver a strong value proposition during consultative and transactional selling
• Prospect and qualify via calls, emails, social media and campaigns
• Prepare customer meeting agendas and drive opportunities from each call
• Coordinate with internal resources to provide exceptional customer experience
• Forecast and maintain accurate sales activity and account plans
• Mentor teammates and lead by example with energy and leadership
