Qualifications

• Inpatient acute care coding experience required.
• Certification with AHIMA and/or AAPC maintained annually.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG coding is essential.
• Proven ability to work in a remote, self-motivated environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient services and DRG impact.
• Abstract data elements during chart reviews as needed.
• Maintain coding quality and productivity per guidelines.
• Provide documentation feedback and query providers when appropriate.
• Stay updated on coding knowledge and participate in team meetings.
