Advocate Health is seeking a Remote Inpatient Coder for the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle – Coding Production Operations. This full-time role requires expertise across ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and adherence to Official Coding Guidelines to ensure proper reimbursement.

Responsibilities include reviewing complex inpatient documentation, coding high-dollar cases, and collaborating with CDI and Quality teams to align DRGs. Eligible for remote work within supported states.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coding experience in acute care setting.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding.
• Knowledge of Official Coding Guidelines and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate codes using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Adhere to department policies to ensure efficient workflows and coding accuracy.
• Code high-dollar and long-stay cases across patient types with attention to compliance.
• Serve as SME to Coding department leaders; suggest policy improvements as needed.
• Maintain continuing education through webinars and coding guideline updates.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to ensure DRG match and Medicare accuracy.
