Job summary

Ensemble Health Partners is seeking an Acute Coding Appeals Specialist to remotely handle inpatient DRG denials appeals. You will apply ICD-10-CM/PCS, HCPCS, NCCI, CMS and CMG coding to support accurate billing. Strong documentation and client education are essential.

Requirements include 5 years of inpatient coding experience, active coding certification, and willingness to travel for client or onsite needs. This remote role offers bonus incentives and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 5 years previous experience in coding, required.
• Active Coding Certification (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CIC, CPC, COC, etc.).
• Experience with inpatient facility coding, appeals/denials, and edits.

Responsibilities

• Review/write appeals for inpatient DRG denials to support codes.
• Educate clients on coding outcomes and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain meticulous documentation and example collections.
• Attend sessions on updated coding information and changes.
