Advocate Health in the United States is seeking an experienced Inpatient Coder to join the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. The role requires reviewing complex inpatient documentation and coding using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS, with emphasis on high-dollar cases.

Candidates should hold an AHIMA or AAPC credential, an associate degree in Health Information Management, and at least 7 years of inpatient coding experience in acute care. Remote work may be approved from designated states.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• 7 years inpatient coding experience in an acute care setting.
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Code high-dollar and long length of stay cases with accuracy.
• Ensure coding follows official guidelines and federal/insurance regulations.
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to align DRGs.
• Maintain continuing education through webinars and coding clinics.
• Participate in payer audits and policy updates.
