Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced inpatient coder to join the 10407 Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Pennsylvania. The role focuses on coding complex inpatient cases using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS within an EMR and CAC system.

The position requires certification from AAPC or AHIMA, an associate degree in Health Information Management, and seven years of inpatient acute-care coding experience with strict quality and productivity standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Proven ability to use EMR/CAC tools and stay current with coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review complex inpatient documentation to assign accurate diagnoses and procedures.
• Maintain high quality and productivity standards (≥95% quality, ≥100% productivity).
• Collaborate with CDI and Quality teams to ensure DRG accuracy and proper reimbursements.
• Stay current with CPT assistant guidelines and coding clinics.
