Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Injection Stretch Blow Molding Process Engineer to lead mold sampling, qualification, and process optimization for new and rebuilt tooling. You will collaborate across plant operations to implement best practices, validate tooling and processes, and drive quality improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering and at least five years in plastics processing, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence internal and external customers.
• Good management and people skills to coordinate multiple resources.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of five years’ processing experience in plastics packaging; SPC beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mold samplings and qualification services for new or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet designed cycle times and capabilities.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas and process changes as directed.
• Provide manufacturing support to resolve production issues related to machines and tooling.
• Lead DOE and process capability studies to ensure standards compliance.
