Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage all aspects of injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services, and validation processing for new and rebuilt molds. You will liaise with plant technical roles to support startups, protocol validation, and troubleshooting, while driving process optimization and tooling improvements to meet specs.

The role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced packaging

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of five years' plastics processing experience.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead mold samplings and qualification services for new or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding processes to meet dimensional limits and cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets and POAs.
• Collaborate with plant techs, quality engineers and vendors.
• Provide training and mentoring to plant personnel.
• Support process capability studies and DOE work.
