Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling and qualification for new and rebuilt tooling, optimize molding cycles, and drive process improvements across plants. The role partners with plant technicians and quality engineers to ensure repeatable performance and adherence to specifications.

The position requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background with 5+ years in plastics packaging, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to travel up to 75% to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Minimum of 5 years’ processing experience in plastics packaging.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at design cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings and tool specification reviews.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas as directed.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications.
