Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join the Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll manage schedule and technical quality on challenging tasks, working with a multi-discipline team to meet client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
