Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer for our Building Mechanical team, delivering innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will lead field investigations, interact with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll manage schedule and technical quality on challenging tasks, collaborating with a multi-discipline team to meet client expectations, scope, budget, and deadlines.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selecting systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for these systems, including chilled water and cooling water.
• Coordination with other disciplines.
