Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team. You will design and size HVAC systems for heavy industrial clients, perform field interfaces, and develop construction documents while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

You will work with engineers and designers to manage schedules and quality, leveraging your expertise in Revit, codes, and collaboration across teams. This role supports growth and impactful projects across locations.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
