Jacobs is seeking a Senior Mechanical HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will work with engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.

Qualifications

• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations and Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Development of final construction documents for these systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordination with other disciplines.
