Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced HVAC Designer to join our Building Mechanical team in the Advanced Manufacturing Group. You will perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages for heavy industrial projects.

You will own the schedule and ensure technical quality while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team across offices and remote sites.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of experience in HVAC design for industrial facilities.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards for HVAC design.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with the project team remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design of HVAC systems.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Develop final construction documents for HVAC systems (e.g., chilled water, cooling water).
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
