Job summary

Henderson Group seeks a Senior Project Manager for industrial EPC projects in Houston. You will lead electrical or mechanical construction efforts from preconstruction through closeout, onsite with 70% travel and per diem.

You’ll manage budgets, schedules, and teams, coordinating with clients, owners, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and profitability. A PMP and prior large-project experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, utility, or EPC construction.
• Experience leading multimillion-dollar projects with significant financial and operational responsibility.
• Strong track record in data centers, oil and gas, petrochemical, or large-scale infrastructure.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6 and MS Project.
• PMP, OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and accountability for the successful execution of large-scale electrical, mechanical, or industrial construction projects, overseeing all phases from preconstruction and budgeting through project closeout.
• Manage project financial performance, including budgets, cost forecasting, cash flow, profitability, change management, and financial reporting, while proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions.
• Direct and coordinate project teams, superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure alignment with project objectives, resource requirements, schedules, and contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, general contractors, and key stakeholders, serving as primary point of contact for project performance, contract negotiations, issue resolution, and strategic planning.
• Oversee project scheduling, procurement, labor productivity, material management, and resource allocation to optimize operational efficiency and ensure successful execution of complex construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with company safety standards, OSHA regulations, applicable electrical or mechanical construction codes, quality requirements, and contractual specifications while promoting a proactive safety culture across all project sites.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to project managers, project engineers, and field leadership while collaborating with executive management to identify opportunities for process improvement, operational efficiency, and continued business growth.
