Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Roanoke, VA seeks a CI Engineer to apply continuous improvement methods across operations. You will drive data-driven projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost, interfacing with all levels and functions.

Leverage Lean, analytics, and automation to identify root causes and sustain changes. The role collaborates with management to develop and execute transformation plans, coach teams, and deliver measurable value for customers.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• Master’s degree in related fields is acceptable with 3+ years experience.
• Strong Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, and Visio skills emphasized.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, and value stream mapping preferred.
• Knowledge of WMS, automation, and cross-functional project management.

Responsibilities

• Collects data, performs statistical analysis, and maps processes.
• Leads CI projects and supports go-live and steady-state certifications.
• Coaches teams on Lean, QA, and CI principles to achieve results.
• Facilitates Kaizen events and value stream mapping across functions.
• Reports progress and recommends inventory/supply chain strategies.
