Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation efforts across our operation. You will drive tangible gains in safety, quality, delivery, and cost by leveraging lean tools and analytics.

The role interfaces with employees at all levels, leads cross-functional CI projects, and reports to CI leadership. A strong background in engineering, analytics, and Lean Six Sigma is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain plus 5+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• MBA with undergraduate engineering is acceptable; 3+ years if MBA held.
• MS Office suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio required.
• Data visualization (PowerBI/Tableau) and SQL/DAX proficiency preferred.
• Lean / PDCA, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, 5S and related methods experienced.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs analysis; maps processes and drives CI plans.
• Manages CI and engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Coaches on lean methods; facilitates Value Stream Maps and Kaizen events.
• Reports progress; recommends supply chain strategies to meet objectives.
