Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Continuous Improvement Engineer to apply data-driven CI, engineering, and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost across operations. The role interfaces with all levels and reports to the Lead Engineer, CI Manager or Sr.

CI Manager and is closely aligned with Operations Management. You will lead CI projects, develop Kaizen events, map value streams, coach teams in Lean methods, and drive sustained improvements while aligning with operations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 5+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• 5+ years related experience in warehousing/Transportation or manufacturing.
• Microsoft Office Suite with Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (Expert).
• Data visualization with Power BI/Tableau and SQL (Intermediate).
• Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, and Kaizen knowledge.
• Core engineering/data analysis: slotting, labor planning, layouts, metrics.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistical analysis; maps processes and identifies gaps.
• Leads CI/engineering projects to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Coaches teams in Lean, QA, and CI methods; leads Kaizen events.
• Facilitates Value Stream Mapping and standardizes processes; drives sustainment.
• Reports progress against site objectives and suggests supply chain improvements.
