• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 8+ years of experience in incident management or related IT roles, including leadership of major incidents in large enterprise or federal environments.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles and advanced incident management practices including runbooks and communications.
• Proficiency with incident management tools and IT service management platforms used for major incidents and reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with ability to brief senior leadership in business terms.

Responsibilities

• War‑Room Facilitation: Structure and lead major incident bridges; assign actions; track progress to closure.
• Process Execution & Standards: Enforce incident playbooks, escalation matrices, and templates; ensure quality records.
• Value‑Stream Awareness: Engage dependencies early to remove bottlenecks delaying restoration.
• Communications: Produce leadership updates and executive briefings translating technical impact into business terms.
• Cross‑Practice Integration: Coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, Service Continuity, and SOC/Cyber IR.
• Readiness & Drills: Run tabletop exercises; audit on-call readiness across shifts.
• Mentoring: Coach coordinators and junior staff on escalation protocols and communication.
• Evidence & Audit Trail: Document timelines and decisions to meet compliance.
