Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Senior Incident Response Coordinator to lead tactical coordination of complex IT incidents, run war rooms, and ensure timely restoration of services across enterprise environments.

You will mentor staff, enforce runbooks, coordinate with cross‑functional teams including SOC/Cyber IR, and translate technical risk into business impact for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, business admin, or related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in incident management, incident response, or related IT roles with leadership of major incidents.
• Deep understanding of ITIL principles and incident governance.
• Proficient with incident management tools and ITSM platforms; able to produce operational and executive reporting.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication; able to brief senior leadership.
• Able to lead multiple concurrent complex incidents and drive consensus across diverse stakeholders.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain and maintain required background investigation; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• War-room facilitation: structure and lead major incident bridges; assign actions; track progress to closure.
• Process execution and standards: enforce incident playbooks, escalation matrices, and communication templates.
• Value‑stream awareness: engage infra, app, identity, cloud, and network dependencies early to remove bottlenecks.
• Communications: produce leadership updates and executive briefings translating technical risk into business terms.
• Cross‑practice integration: coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, Service Continuity, and SOC/Cyber IR.
• Readiness & drills: run tabletop exercises; review playbooks; ensure on‑call readiness.
• Mentoring: coach coordinators and junior staff on escalation protocols and analysis.
• Evidence & audit: document timelines, decisions, and impact assessments for compliance.
