Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking an Senior Incident Response Coordinator to lead tactical coordination of major IT incidents, run war rooms, and drive cross-team collaboration for minimal mission impact.

You will translate technical risk into business language for executives, enforce runbooks, and mentor staff while continually improving readiness and response capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, business, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in incident management or related IT roles, including major incidents.
• Deep ITIL knowledge and governance of runbooks, escalation, and comms.
• Proficient with incident management tools, ITSM platforms, and monitoring solutions.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills; able to brief senior leadership.
• Ability to lead multiple incidents and drive consensus among stakeholders.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead war-room facilitation and coordinate major incident bridges.
• Enforce incident runbooks, cadence, and actionable ownership.
• Engage dependencies early to remove bottlenecks in restoration.
• Translate technical impact into clear business communications for leaders.
• Coordinate with Problem, Change, Release, and SOC/Cyber IR teams.
• Run drills, review playbooks, and audit on-call readiness.
• Mentor coordinators and junior staff on escalation and analysis.
• Ensure timelines, decisions, and impact are documented for audits.
