Job summary

Quanta Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Designer to join its Professional Engineering Consulting team in Arlington or Houston, TX. The role focuses on leading I&E design deliverables and coordinating with engineers and other teams to support project execution.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, developing power distribution and control system designs, and producing construction-ready documents while adhering to codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in power distribution or controls systems design.
• In-person, computer-based assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Design and detail electrical and instrumentation systems in 3D model environments.
• Prepare installation drawings for power and control systems.
• Interpret PFDs and P&IDs to define project scope and requirements.
• Develop orthographic plans and layout drawings from 2D/3D models.
• Produce one-line, wiring, and loop diagrams for power and control systems.
• Coordinate design requirements with multi-discipline teams.
