Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced Designer to join the Professional Engineering Consulting team in Arlington or Houston, Texas. This role requires hands-on leadership for complex deliverables while supporting project execution under the Design Supervisor and Engineering Manager.

The designer will develop 3D electrical and instrumentation layouts using AutoCAD, CADWorx, and Navisworks, produce installation drawings, review PFDs/P&IDs, and coordinate with multi-discipline teams

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Minimum of ten years in power distribution or controls systems design.
• Must complete an in-person, computer-based assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical and instrumentation designs in 3D model environments.
• Prepare installation drawings, one-line and wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate I&E designs with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and ensure design deliverables meet standards.
