Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group seeks an experienced I&C Engineer to lead design and execution of control systems for new and existing plants. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to deliver technically sound projects in a hybrid work setting.

Core duties include developing PLC/DCS designs, preparing requirements/specs, reviewing vendor bids, and supporting proposals while ensuring client satisfaction and successful project completion.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear).
• 10+ years in I&C design engineering roles.
• Professional Engineer license preferred.
• Clear written and spoken communication skills.
• Experience liaising with clients in engineering projects.
• Experience reviewing design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital systems design (PLC, DCS, touchscreens, networks).
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specs.
• Interface with clients to ensure project success.
• Prepare and review technical reports and studies.
• Manage resources, task estimates, and budgets.
• Support proposal development and vendor reviews.
• Review diagrams for new/upgraded control solutions.
• Witness FAT and oversee vendor equipment to client needs.
• Assist on-site project implementation at client facilities.
