Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for nuclear power projects. You will work on major process controls engineering, including DCS/PLC, instrumentation, and system design.

The role includes site walkdowns, client meetings, mentorship of junior engineers, and outage support. Hybrid schedule requires in-office work 3 days per week with flexible collaboration.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in design engineering for process control systems; nuclear power plant control system experience preferred.
• Experience with controls design for MV/LV distribution and equipment like turbines, pumps, and feedwater control.

Responsibilities

• Lead major process controls engineering projects in digital systems, instrumentation, and control components.
• Prepare Functional Requirements and Procurement Specifications for I&C systems.
• Develop P&ID’s and System Design Descriptions; review drawings authored by others.
• Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns to ensure client satisfaction.
• Provide mentorship to less experienced nuclear I&C design engineers.
• Support station outage activities as required.
