Job summary

Sargent & Lundy's Nuclear Power Group in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead digital modernization projects for nuclear power plants, including BWR/PWR systems, DCS, PLC, and safety-related controls.

The role focuses on design, review, and integration of instrumentation and control schemes, collaborating with project teams, vendors, and clients, with opportunities to guide technical decisions and ensure compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in instrumentation and controls design for heavy industrial plants.
• Experience with DCS/PLC for nuclear plant systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of instrumentation and controls systems for nuclear power projects.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure design meets specifications, codes, and client requirements.
• Review drawings, provide guidance, and interface with vendors for materials and equipment specs.
• Support outage activities and client meetings to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
