Job summary

Sargent & Lundy recruits an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead design efforts for nuclear power projects, including digital upgrades. You will guide technical decisions, work within multidisciplinary teams, and interface with clients to ensure scope alignment and compliance.

Essential requirements include a BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program and extensive experience in I&C systems for heavy industrial plants, with leadership capabilities and strong drawing

Qualifications

  • BS degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • 20+ years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls systems in heavy industrial plants.
  • Experience serving as firm/client liaison in a lead role is desirable.
  • Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review instrumentation & controls designs for new plants or replacements.
  • Coordinate design activities to meet specifications, codes, and client requirements.
  • Prepare calculations and documentation for system input and drawings.
  • Interface with vendors and review equipment purchase specs.
  • Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and satisfaction.
