Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join the Nuclear Power Group in Greenville, SC. The role focuses on digital upgrades, major process controls engineering, and leading design decisions in a multidisciplinary team environment.

You will contribute to high- level program development for safety, maintenance, and project management, with strong emphasis on digital systems and automation in nuclear facilities.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 12+ years of experience in design engineering of instrumentation and controls engineering systems in a heavy industrial plant project team.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a support or lead role is desirable.
• Experience reviewing design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market high-level, complex programs for nuclear power projects on design, operational excellence, safety, maintenance, and project management.
• Direct technical decision making in a project team for digital upgrades of controls systems.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve instrumentation & controls engineering issues.
• Interface with vendors and prepare equipment purchase specifications.
