Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is expanding its Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group in the nuclear power sector. The role focuses on designing digital upgrades, coordinating with vendors, and delivering engineering solutions for new builds or plant upgrades.

You will participate in client meetings, site walks, and technical reviews to ensure project success. Ideal candidates have ABET-accredited engineering degrees and 10+ years in I&C design for heavy industrial plants, with a strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in the design engineering of instrumentation and controls engineering systems in a project team environment for heavy industrial plants.
• Experience serving as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role is desirable.
• Experience in reviewing design drawings created by others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market high-level, complex I&C programs for nuclear power projects.
• Direct technical decision making in project teams working on digital upgrades for nuclear plants.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and solve a wide variety of I&C engineering issues.
• Interface with vendors and prepare/ review equipment purchase specifications.
• Prepare reports and studies presenting technical information to meet client requirements.
• Attend client meetings and site walkdowns to validate scope and ensure client satisfaction.
