Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead complex data center fiber projects in the United States. You will bring deep hyperscale fiber expertise, guide design, deployment, testing, and remediation, and act as a senior SME for all technical aspects.

You will engage with clients, define scope, budgets, and timelines, and develop proposals. Strong communication and leadership are essential to drive successful outcomes and maintain high client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on fiber infrastructure experience.
• Current BICSI RCDD certification required.
• Experience with high-density fiber design and large-scale deployments.
• Ability to lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to deliver services aligned with Winning Together values.
• Identify and contact potential clients for new engagements.
• Build relationships with existing clients for repeat business.
• Maintain frequent client communication and ensure satisfaction.
• Develop proposals, SOWs and reports as needed.
• Lead project terms negotiations with clients.
• Identify risks and develop resolution plans.
• Plan and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Provide fiber SME guidance for hyperscale data centers.
• Review drawings and fiber matrices for accuracy and constructability.
• Support design reviews, workshops, and solution recommendations.
