Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead hyperscale fiber network engagements across remote US locations. The role focuses on design, deployment, testing, and remediation of data center fiber infrastructure, with strong customer-facing leadership.

Requirements include 5+ years of fiber infrastructure experience and a current BICSI RCDD certification. The position demands deep technical expertise and the ability to drive projects end-to-end with strategic insight.

Qualifications

• Five+ years hands-on fiber infrastructure experience in hyperscale data center environments.
• Current BICSI RCDD certification.
• Expert in high-density fiber design, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and define project scope, budget, and timelines.
• Develop proposals, SOWs and other reports as required.
• Provide technical leadership to project engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Review fiber designs, BOMs, port maps, test documentation and as-built records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable fiber standards (BICSI, TIA, ISO/IEC).
• Identify risks and develop resolution plans and action items.
