Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant to act as a senior technical and client-facing SME for complex data center engagements. The role requires deep expertise in hyperscale fiber infrastructure, structured cabling design, deployment, testing, QA, troubleshooting, and standards compliance.

You will partner with business leaders, identify opportunities, manage projects, review designs and test plans, and guide teams through deployment, testing and remediation across high-density fiber

Qualifications

• Five+ years in hands-on hyperscale fiber infrastructure.
• BICSI RCDD certification is required.
• Experience leading troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and define project scope, budgets, and timelines.
• Develop proposals, SOWs and reports for approval and delivery.
• Negotiate terms with clients and manage risk and changes.
• Provide technical guidance on fiber designs, testing, and remediation.
• Review drawings, BOMs, and test documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and customers across sites.
