Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Principal Consultant to serve as a senior technical and client‑facing SME, leading hyperscale data center fiber design, deployment, testing, commissioning and remediation activities. You will partner with clients to define scope, budgets and timelines; develop SOWs and reports; mentor project teams; ensure standards compliance and quality, and drive risk mitigation in fast‑paced engagements.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Minimum of five years hands-on fiber infrastructure experience in hyperscale data centers.
• Current BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
• Demonstrated experience with high-density fiber design, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation.
• Ability to lead technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis across complex, high-volume fiber environments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to deliver services that support company objectives and align with Winning Together values.
• Identify and contact potential clients for new business engagements.
• Build strong relationships with existing clients for repeat business.
• Maintain frequent client communication and ensure client satisfaction.
• Develop business proposals, SOWs and other reports as required.
• Negotiate project terms and conditions with clients as needed.
• Lead and review fiber design, deployment, and testing plans for large-scale data centers.
