Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Estimator in Colorado to lead large, multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules for hydroelectric, power and electrical infrastructure projects. You will coordinate discipline estimators, validate quantities, and develop execution plans with design teams and clients.

The role requires deep hydroelectric experience, strong leadership, and risk management skills. Travel is domestic and some international; flexible work arrangements and remote options may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Experience with hydroelectric generation, substations, power systems, utility infrastructure, transmission, distribution, or electrical balance-of-plant projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and schedules.
• Validate material takeoffs and construction quantities from drawings.
• Coordinate and compile information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate.
• Develop estimate execution plans outlining estimating strategy, scope assumptions, methodologies, staffing requirements, and schedules for major estimating efforts.
