Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules for large hydroelectric and power infrastructure projects. You will coordinate estimators, interact with design teams, and ensure accurate, defendable cost baselines across global initiatives.

The role emphasizes leadership, client communication, and the ability to manage complex scope across civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in estimating and construction roles.
• Experience with hydroelectric generation, substations, power systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Proficiency with major estimating software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Supervise multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input from discipline estimators across civil, structural, mechanical and electrical groups.
• Develop detailed estimates for generators, substations, switchgear and protection systems.
• Coordinate and compile information from estimating disciplines into a single cost estimate.
• Interface with clients and manage communications to ensure estimate defensibility.
