Job summary

Stantec recruits a Senior Estimator to lead multi-discipline cost estimating and scheduling for major infrastructure projects. The role emphasizes hydroelectric generation, substations, and power systems with coordination across civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.

The successful candidate will guide teams, work with clients and stakeholders, and ensure defensible estimates across project development milestones. Travel and leadership are essential parts of the job.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• 10+ years combined experience in estimating and construction roles.
• Experience with hydroelectric, substation and power infrastructure projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate development of multi-discipline cost estimates and schedules.
• Collaborate with estimators to develop cost estimates and schedules.
• Develop detailed estimates for generators, substations, and HV systems.
• Coordinate input parameters and validate quantities from drawings.
• Prepare estimate execution plans and labor-work plans.
