Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Senior Estimator to develop, manage, and coordinate large hydroelectric and power infrastructure cost estimates and schedules.

You will lead a team of discipline estimators and coordinate across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and construction disciplines. The role supports projects worldwide, with experience in substations, switchyards, SCADA, and OHP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Management, Business Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in an estimating and construction role.
• Experience with hydroelectric generation, substations, power systems, utility infrastructure, transmission, distribution, or electrical balance-of-plant projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the development of multi-discipline cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Coordinate input parameters for cost estimates and schedules.
• Develop detailed estimates for generators, transformers, substations, switchgear, and related systems.
• Prepare basis of cost estimate report deliverables for end user.
• Interface with management and clients for estimating tasks.
• Identify risks and opportunities and contribute to risk analyses.
