McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead hydraulic engineering efforts for large water resources projects, including dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, or natural resources.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality deliverables, and drive business development initiatives while mentoring staff. The role requires a PE license, advanced degrees in civil or hydraulic engineering, and about 20 years of hydraulic engineering experience with 10 years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• Master’s in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• PE license is required and emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops for project teams and clients.
• Ensure multiple work elements meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
• Identify opportunities with clients to support business growth.
• Prepare and oversee project deliverables—reports, drawings, specs.
• Lead QA/QC reviews per client requirements and policies.
• Manage project and organizational risks related to deliverables.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives and operational decisions.
• Direct and delegate workloads while maintaining accountability.
• Train, evaluate, recruit, and mentor future leaders.
