Job summary

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead large water resources projects with expertise in dams, energy, fisheries, and infrastructure.

The role requires a PE license, extensive hydraulic engineering experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams. The candidate will oversee deliverables from concept through commissioning, engage with clients, and contribute to strategic initiatives while traveling up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor and Master degrees in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering.
• 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering.
• PE license required; FERC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project discussions, meetings, and workshops for teams and clients.
• Ensure deliverables meet established quality standards and project requirements.
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
• Identify opportunities with new and existing clients to support business growth.
• Prepare and oversee project deliverables including reports, letters, technical memos, drawings, and specifications.
• Lead QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policies.
• Actively manage project and organizational risks associated with deliverables and work products.
• Develop and execute strategic initiatives and mentor staff toward leadership.
