Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead hydraulic design for water resources projects, including dams, energy, and infrastructure. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, engage stakeholders, and drive technical and business initiatives.

Applicants should hold a PE license with at least 20 years in hydraulic engineering and be willing to travel up to 25% monthly. This on-site role focuses on delivering practical, high-quality outcomes for complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering is required.
• PE license is required; FERC experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams and client discussions to advance hydraulic engineering projects.
• Ensure all work elements meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Drive business development and identify opportunities with new or existing clients.
• Prepare deliverables: reports, memos, drawings, and specifications across components.
• Lead QA/QC reviews and manage risks to deliver quality projects on time.
