Job summary
Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Sales Application Engineer to provide technical expertise and strategic support for complex Applied HVAC equipment selections, proposals, quoting, and submittals. This role focuses on large-scale projects, translating customer needs into optimized configurations to meet performance, budget, and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to empower sellers, refine proposals, and strengthen the overall value proposition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC application engineering, applied equipment selection, or pre-sales technical support.
- 2+ years of people management or demonstrated team leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize Applied HVAC equipment selection for complex projects.
- Ensure quoting, sizing, and equipment specs meet customer requirements and standards.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and technical improvements in system selection.
- Provide technical guidance to sales teams and support project success.
- Prepare, review, and approve final technical submittals.
