Leidos is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, focusing on electric transmission line design from 46kV to 345 kV for a major utility. You will apply NESC, ASCE, ACI standards, prepare bidding documents, plans, specifications, and material procurement and construction documents, interfacing with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and four years of experience in electric utility transmission design.
Experience reviewing full transmission line designs including PLS-CADD models, foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages.
Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements; construction specifications; material procurement; project schedules.
Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals.
Ability to work in a team environment but also independently.
Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams.
Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

Design electric transmission line projects for HV overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345 kV.
Prepare bidding documents, drafts of plans and specifications, and construction documents.
Prepare material procurement and construction documents and interface with clients and project teams.
Support project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management activities.
